Amplifiers

HiFi amplifiers and phono preamplifiers that add nothing to the music.

An amplifier should make the signal larger without changing it. Every circuit is designed with this in mind: a calm background, natural tonal colors and voices that stand in the room instead of coming from the loudspeaker.

The Stateline is the entry point. The compact Stateline Amp 2 integrated amplifier comes with its own DAC, the Stateline Phono 2 prepares the fine signal of your turntable, both also available in a Signature version. The High Line includes an integrated amplifier, a preamplifier and power amplifier, and phono stages for MC cartridges, with a fully balanced internal design. Developed and built in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.

Frequently asked questions about our amplifiers

Which amplifier suits my loudspeakers?

What matters is the efficiency of your loudspeakers and the size of your room. The Stateline Amp 2 suits efficient loudspeakers such as our horn loudspeakers and living rooms where music is not played very loud. The High Line Amp1 Integrated delivers 120 watts per channel and also drives loudspeakers with lower efficiency. If you are unsure, we are happy to advise you personally.

Why do I need a phono preamplifier?

A cartridge delivers a very fine signal that an amplifier cannot process directly. The phono preamplifier sits between turntable and amplifier, raises the signal to line level and equalizes it according to the RIAA curve. Only then does a record sound the way it was recorded.

What is the difference between the Stateline Phono 2 and Phono 2 Signature?

The Phono 2 Signature combines the preamplifier of the Stateline Phono 2 with its own power supply, built solely to feed the preamplifier. The power supply is also available separately. So you can start with the Phono 2 and upgrade it to the Signature later, whenever it suits you.

Integrated amplifier or separate pre and power amplifier?

An integrated amplifier combines pre and power amplifier in one housing and keeps your system simple. Separate units such as the High Line Preamp 1 and High Line Poweramp 1 keep the sensitive signal processing physically away from the power stage. The Poweramp 1 has a strictly balanced dual mono design and delivers 240 watts RMS.
