Cotton instead of plastic
Why our cables let you hear what others cover up
Most cables are insulated with plastic. Ours use mercerized cotton. You can hear the difference right away: more calm between the instruments, an open, unforced sound instead of the slightly hard, plastic-like edge many listeners describe with plastic insulation. Cotton stores hardly any charge and builds up no tension, so the signal arrives as it was sent, without artificial coloration.

Handmade since 1982
Why every cable is one of a kind
Every SteinMusic cable is made by hand on braiding and winding machines we built ourselves. No mass-produced cable off the reel. Each piece is made and tested individually before it leaves our workshop.

Geometry instead of shielding
Why our cables keep interference out from the start
Instead of blocking interference afterwards with thick shielding braids, we arrange the conductors themselves, braided, in a double helix or matrix structure, so that interference cancels itself out. The result is a quieter background, without the sonic losses of heavy shielding.
A speaker cable for body and calm
The Stateline LS 2 builds on the LS 1 and doubles its core: two 4-fold double helix structures in pure copper run inside one cable. Music gains substance, the midrange foundation and bass stand more firmly in the room, and the sound stays open and clear.
Two double helix structures in one cable
The signal is shared across more copper conductors, twisted in two 4-fold double helices. The twisting largely cancels out interference from outside, so no heavy shielding is needed and the background stays quiet.
Cotton instead of plastic
Most speaker cables are insulated with plastic. In the Stateline LS 2, mercerised cotton surrounds the conductors. Cotton holds almost no charge, and many listeners describe the sound as more open and less strained as a result.
What you hear
More body: the lower midrange and bass gain substance without becoming heavy.
Composed dynamics: even large orchestral passages stay ordered.
A quiet background: soft passages and fading notes remain audible.
Natural tone: without the hard edge many know from plastic-insulated cables.
Construction
- Pure copper conductors
- Two 4-fold double helix structures, interference rejection through geometry instead of shielding
- Mercerised cotton insulation
- Gold-plated, low-mass copper connectors
- Handmade in Germany on our own braiding and winding machines
- Terminated pair, 2 × 3 m
With one double helix structure, the Stateline LS 1 speaker cable is the entry point to the series.
