More air and fine dynamics

Many power strips for hi-fi systems use capacitors and chokes to reduce interference. In a simple system this can smooth the sound in a pleasant way. In a good system, however, it often takes away exactly what makes music feel alive: air, fine dynamics and small details.

The Powerbar 10 takes a different approach. It distributes power cleanly and steadily, without interfering with it.

Care down to the star point

Wiring, contacts, enclosure

All ten outlets are wired in a star configuration to one central point using solid pure copper wire. There, our InLine technology joins the conductors, protected and mechanically calmed in a specially filled epoxy resin. The connectors are made to our specifications and have partially rhodium-plated contacts.

The three-layer, CNC-machined enclosure combines fiberboard with a middle layer of carbon composite, which is grounded and prevents static charge. A generously bolted aluminum top plate and solid walnut feet keep the construction calm.

With ten outlets, the Powerbar 10 supplies even larger systems from a single point: sources, amplifiers, streamers and power supplies.

Placement

The Powerbar 10 performs most calmly on a solid surface. Placed under the Powerbar, the Super Naturals Signature make a clearly audible difference by draining resonances into the floor.

The matching power cord

The Powerbar 10 is supplied without a power cord. The supply cable is the last link before your system. Together with the Highline Power X4, power strip and power cord form a matched pair.

Frequently asked questions about the Powerbar 10

Why does the Powerbar 10 have no mains filter?

Capacitors and chokes reduce interference, but they do not behave linearly. Their losses take fine detail and dynamics away from the music. In a simple system this is hardly noticeable, in a good system it is. The Powerbar 10 therefore relies on clean distribution, stable contacts and mechanical calm.

Does the Powerbar 10 have a switch or surge protection?

No. The Powerbar 10 is a passive device without a switch, indicators or surge protection. What surge protection does and when it makes sense for your system is explained in our guide.
