Resonance needs a way out

Every audio component produces resonance. Damping it alone also takes energy the music needs. Isolating the component traps the resonance inside the housing.

Super Naturals Matrix give it a way out. They drain resonance from the component and reduce reflections travelling back from the surface it stands on. The stage opens in width and depth, and voices and instruments stand clearly in their place.

Ceramic, felt, wood and E-Pads

Inside the Matrix

Inside, ceramic elements and felt pads work together. Ceramic carries energy away quickly, and the felt pads are vacuum-impregnated with a special lacquer. This stabilises them and gives the sound a firm yet relaxed character. Two feet of African zebrawood and one of Italian olivewood add a natural tone.

The Matrix adds an adapted version of the SteinMusic E-Pads. It further refines the interplay of the materials, and the presentation gains calm and openness.

Application

Super Naturals Matrix come in a set of three: two feet of zebrawood (the darker ones) and one of olivewood (the lighter one). The side with the gold metal ring faces up. A set of three makes reliable contact and is the recommended option; for special setups, a set of four and single feet are available.

Care

The feet are very stable under load but sensitive to shear forces. Always set components straight down from above.

Frequently asked questions about the Super Naturals Matrix

Where do I use the Super Naturals Matrix?

Under any component, from CD player through turntable and amplifier to loudspeaker. Use them instead of the original feet so the housing couples directly. If the original feet are taller, remove them.

How do I position the three feet?

Place the olivewood foot directly under the heaviest part of the component and the two zebrawood feet so that they carry about the same weight. Under loudspeakers, the olivewood foot goes at the front centre and the zebrawood feet at the back left and right. The result is not always symmetrical; what matters is the balance.

Why not spikes or rubber feet?

Spikes reduce energy transfer through their small contact area. Rubber feet store energy and release it with a delay. Thread and cord concepts sound pleasant but do not ground the component. The sound stays agreeable, yet without structure.

How does the Matrix differ from the Super Naturals Signature?

Both work on the same principle. At 30 mm, the Matrix is taller than the Signature at 23 mm and has a further developed inner structure with an adapted E-Pad layer. The presentation gains further calm and openness as a result.
